A wireless bra, or wire-free bra, is a style with no rigid metal or plastic elements inside the cups. Support is built into the construction: a wide underband, reinforced straps, the stretch of the fabric, and the shape of the cut.
Underwired styles hold their shape thanks to metal or plastic wires sewn into the bottom of the cup. A wire-free bra works differently: here the fabric, the seams and the construction take on the role of the wire. That makes the style softer, lighter and more comfortable for long wear.
Support in wireless styles is created by four elements. The first is the wide underband, which holds the bra in place on the body. The second is the straps: the wider they are, the more evenly the load is distributed. The third is fabric with an elastic structure that follows the shape of the body. With a fuller bust, three details are critical in wire-free styles: wider straps, a reinforced underband and a wide back. Straps 1.5–2 cm wide and a band at least 3 cm wide distribute the load evenly. A wide back holds the style in place and keeps it from riding up during movement.
Bralettes and Basic camis are comfortable under a loose top — shirts, sweaters, T-shirts. To measure your bust circumference, wrap a measuring tape around your body at the fullest point of the bust. The tape should lie horizontally, without tilting, neither pulled tight nor sagging.
To measure your underbust circumference, wrap a measuring tape around your body directly under the bust. The tape should sit horizontally and fit snugly against the body without constricting it.
Compare the resulting figures in centimeters with the size chart on the site. The chart is built on two parameters at once — bust circumference and waist circumference. The size is determined by the figure that falls within the corresponding range.
If your measurements fall on the border between two sizes, go by the one closer to your bust circumference. In wireless bras, it is the fit at the bust that determines comfort during wear.
A wireless bra is washed by hand in warm water with a delicate detergent, dried flat on a horizontal surface and stored folded in a drawer.
Hand wash in water at 30 degrees with a detergent for delicate fabrics. If a washing machine is used — delicate cycle only, in a lingerie bag, without high-speed spinning. Bleaches and stain removers are not used.
Dry flat on a towel or on a mesh drying rack. A tumble dryer is not used — hot air deforms the fabric and the seams. Direct sunlight changes the color of the fabric, especially in styles made from colored lace.
Store in a drawer laid out flat, not mixed up with other items. Lace styles are better kept separately — lace catches on the hardware and seams of other lingerie.
